Education

Iris Barton completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of North Texas in 2021. She then graduated with her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Texas in 2025. She is trained in Child-Centered Play Therapy, as well as Adolescent and Adult counseling. She is pursuing independent licensure and is currently under the licensure and supervision of Dr. Kamiron Tran, LPC-S.

Experience

Iris believes in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can process the most difficult experiences, explore their feelings, and cultivate self-compassion and self-love.

Iris works with children, adolescents, and adults. She has specialty training in Child-Centered Play Therapy, as well as person-centered counseling techniques for teens and adults.
