Specialities
Robert provides therapy for individuals, teenagers, young adults, and families, with a special focus on helping people heal from religious trauma and religious harm. He works with clients navigating the effects of high-control or harmful religious environments, as well as those facing anxiety, identity concerns, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. His goal is to create a space where clients can experience clarity, healing, and personal growth.
Religious trauma therapy is a central focus of Robert’s work. He helps clients process the impact of harmful religious experiences, untangle internalized beliefs, and rebuild a sense of identity and trust in themselves. His approach is nonjudgmental and supportive, allowing clients to explore their values, beliefs, and experiences at their own pace.
Robert also specializes in working with teenagers and young adults who are navigating anxiety, stress, identity development, relationship struggles, and the transition into adulthood. In his work with families, he focuses on improving communication, strengthening relationships, and helping each person feel heard and understood.
Robert’s approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. He is committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel empowered to make meaningful and lasting changes. If you’re looking for a therapist for religious trauma, teen therapy, young adult counseling, or family therapy, you can reach out to learn more or schedule an appointment.
Experience
Before becoming a therapist, Robert spent many years serving as a Youth and Family Minister, supporting teenagers and their families through some of life’s most formative and challenging seasons. This experience provided him with a profound understanding of the unique pressures that young people face, as well as the complex dynamics within family systems. It also taught him the value of creating a safe, non-judgmental space where individuals can process their stories, ask difficult questions, and grow into healthier versions of themselves. Today, Robert carries that same relational approach into his work as a therapist, partnering with clients of all ages while specializing in work with teenagers, young adults, and families navigating life transitions, identity exploration, and relational struggles.
